Meet the Owner of Amani Soaps

Peggy Tipton owner of Amani Soaps

Peggy Tipton has been many things in her life: Peace Corps volunteer in Kenya, international aid worker for women's health, and tag-along diplomatic spouse to the US Embassy in Tanzania. Now firmly planted back in the US, she has embarked on an exciting challenge: small business owner of Amani Soaps which sells hand crafted soaps, bath bombs, lotions and lip balms. She has turned a 15 year hobby into a passion and now into her business.

Peggy's products are beautifully scented and created in small batches using high quality ingredients such as olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter. She uses a combination of natural and cosmetic colorants as well as essential oils and fragrance oil blends. All of her products are vegetarian and nearly all are vegan. She loves teaching people about hand crafted soap: how it is made and the benefit of various ingredients. Please ask lots of questions!!!

She can help you create custom gift baskets of varying sizes and prices. Gift baskets are great for teachers, holiday/birthday presents, baby/wedding showers, spa parties and more. She can ship across the US and Canada as well as to APO/DPO addresses overseas. Peggy lives in Decatur, GA with her crazy blended family: husband, five kids (four teenagers!), one dog, three cats, and six chickens. When she’s not making soap, she’s probably sitting at a soccer game.
